I have been invited to lead a half day, online workshop for Westminster Insights on responding to the Gatsby Benchmarks update.
This will take place on Monday 20th October and should be an excellent event.
It will focus on practical and actionable lessons for those responsible for delivering careers programmes in secondary schools. It will include opportunities to hear how others have overcome common challenges, including accessing resources, building engagement from teachers, students and parents and tailoring and personalising the support that is offered.
The outcomes for attendees are as follows:
- Increase your understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and how the update has changed what they require
- Understand the policy context and new statutory guidance
- Make the case for careers guidance with internal and external stakeholders in your school
- Familiarise yourself with models and approaches for embedding careers into the curriculum
- Increase your confidence in supporting disadvantaged students through your careers programme
- Learn how to make the most of a professional careers adviser in your programme
