I’ve been talking about green guidance a lot in recent weeks. This is largely because we are now coming to the end of our Exploring green guidance project and we will be releasing the handbook pretty soon.
Last week I presented on green guidance to Skolverket (the Swedish National Agency for Education). In my presentation I talked about the policy imperatives that exist for guidance professionals to engage with climate change and other environmental issues. I also talked about the changing nature of the labour market and the emergence of green jobs and the wider greening of jobs. Finally I reflected on what green career guidance really is, how it can address the challenges and ethical issues that are raised by the green agenda and what it might look like in practice.
It was hopefully a useful session for all involved. I suspect that I will continue to talk about green guidance for quite some time to come.
